REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree
in Social Work (MSW) preferred; or MA/MS
in a Social Science (e.g. Psychology) or
a Health Science related field.

One year of
experience in a Mental Health or Foster
Care setting.

Demonstrated
ability to respond in crisis situations.
-
Ability to speak
clearly and present information both
verbally and in writing to all levels of
staff and customers
-
Valid California
driver’s license and good driving record
required.

DESCRIPTION:
Growing Alternatives
is seeking a Full-time, Social Worker for
the Foster Care Program.
Growing Alternatives Foster Care Program
offers a wide continuum of treatment foster
care in California. We serve children of all
ages - including those who have been abused,
abandoned, molested, and would otherwise
require institutional care. We carefully
place children with loving, thoroughly
screened and trained foster families.
SOCIAL WORKER RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Manage caseload of up to 15 families (6
families for the part-time position) in
our Foster Care program.
Provide individual and family
counseling/training/consulting.
-
Develop and implement treatment plans
and coordinate services with treatment
team.
Write reports and other required
documents.
Ensure compliance w/all licensing and
other regulations.

Facilitate groups and conduct training
as required.
Assume on-call and other duties as
required.
